The Harfang Alpine is a very good ultra light 12-point steel crampon for classic mountaineering and mixed terrain.
This crampon has a chromoly steel front and rear section, both being equipped with an Antibott system. The front section is asymmetrical to give you maximum performance and balance when using modern boots. Extra weight reduction is achieved by using a central main textile strap that connects the front and back sections; this also makes the crampons very compact to store.
The Harfang Alpine comes with a Compact Toe Bail which is designed to fit all mountaineering boots with front and rear welts. For boots that do not have a front welt, alternative Toe Basket Straps are also supplied. Please note that to make it compatible with ski boots, you would need to buy a pair of Standard Toe Bails (available to order).
From classic climbs to Himalayan expeditions, Harfang crampons combine the performance and reliability required for the most demanding environments.
