Ultra-light and very compact, the Ride ice axe is designed not to weigh you down when ski touring, freeride ski-ing and glacier travelling. Never-the-less it gives solid placements due to its all-steel head, a pick tapered to 3 mm and a bent shaft and, when not in use, is compact enough to be easily stowed in your rucksack.
